Creative and analytic, Scott MacMeekin has over ten years of experience in the design field. For most of his career Scott has been a commercial interior designer for a wide range of project sizes and types, including small tenant fit ups for retail and corporate offices to large new construction projects in the higher education, government, and science + technology markets. A graduate of the CIDA accredited and nationally recognized interior design program at Virginia Tech, Scott began his career designing custom residential casework but quickly changed focus and pursued additional education and work in the field of visual merchandising. As a commercial interior designer he has spent nearly ten years at the multi-disiplinary Architecure and Engineering firm of Clark Nexsen, beginning in their corporate headquarters in Norfolk, VA and most recently in their Raleigh, North Carolina office. He has helped grow their Raleigh office from 24 employees at his arrival in 2007 to nearly 80 in 2013, and with it has expanded his experience in business development and project management. He currently supports projects as a lead interior designer, and serves as project manager for multiple corporate clients. While not in the office Scott volunteers his time to the interior design industry, serving on many local and national committees, and actively promotes the mentoring of students and young professionals.
